Shelly H. Pickel

Shelly H. Pickel Lyman, SC- Shelly Hazard Pickel, 55, wife of David Stephen Pickel, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Born August 4, 1963 in Wisconsin, Shelly was a daughter of the late Byron Willard and June Lock Hazard. Shelly played piano, loved all things sweet, and loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. She was a gentle and genuine soul who provided a listening ear and her honest, humble spirit as comfort to anyone who needed it. Guided by her love of her Lord and Savior, Shelly proved to be a bright light to those around her and shown brightest when spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Shelly is survived by her daughters, Amber Whitwell and her husband, Justin, Elise Huggins and her husband, John, Michelle Worley-Pickel and her wife, Britni, and April Gibson; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Kara and River; a brother, Steve Hazard;  and her sister, Summer Roach. She was predeceased by a sister and a daughter The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow immediately at 3:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Joey Parris. Burial will be held in Bethany Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
