Dean McLaurin “Mack” Cathcart, Jr.

Moore, SC – Dean McLaurin Cathcart, Jr., 84, husband of Helen Falls Cathcart, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Mack was born October 26, 1927 to the late Dean McLaurin and Pearl Hopkins Cathcart, Sr. He honorably served in the United States Army and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mack leaves behind a daughter, Debbie Seay (Dennis) of Roebuck; a son, Michael Cathcart (Karen) of Moore; a sister, Elizabeth Robinson of Seneca; and three grandchildren, Mindy Gossett (David), Jennifer Wall (Kris), and Mike Cathcart (Mandy). He was predeceased by his brother, Ed Cathcart. A viewing will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Jim Oliver and Reverend Joe Burnett. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the church sanctuary. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In remembrance of Mack, memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, P O Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376.
