Billy Fred Cooper

Inman, SC- Billy Cooper, 78, died after a courageous battle against cancer. Billy was born November 21, 1933 to the late Alvin Cooper and Arizonia Robertson Cooper Burnett in Woodruff, SC. Mr. Cooper served 23 years in the United States Air Force where he received a Bronze Star. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in charity golf tournaments. Billy leaves behind a daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Cooper-Warlick; a sister, Doris Toney; two grandchildren, Misty Fink of Anderson, SC and Shannon Joe Sanders of Union, SC; and four great grandchildren, Ashton and Austin Hughes and Gage and Matt Sanders. He is also survived by his longtime companion of 30 years, Eloise West; her daughter Rene Brown and her husband Lee; and her grandchildren, Amanda Heckent and Patrick Brown. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold C. Cooper. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
