Sherry “Dale” Evans Bowles

Cowpens, SC – Sherry “Dale” Evans Bowles, 55, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 after a courageous battle against kidney disease. Dale was born January 25, 1957 to Robert and Rosa Lee Evans in Gaffney, SC. She was the loving wife of Wilton D. “Junior” Bowles, Jr., for 39 years. Dale devoted her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her husband and son, Michael. She was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. In addition to her husband, Junior, she is survived by her son, Michael Bowles and his wife Ginger of Summerville, SC; a sister, Rita Lee Mathis and her husband Mitch of Boiling Springs, SC; and a precious grandchild, Michala Bowles. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2012 at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, in the chapel, officiated by Reverend Dr. William Westafer. The family will be at the home of her sister; 830 Belcher Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
