James “Jim” Brown

Spartanburg – James C. Brown, husband of the late Elma L. Brown, died August 30, 2012. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and the New Boy Sunday School Class. He is survived by a son, Steve Brown and a daughter, Starr Jameson both of Spartanburg. Jim was blessed with five grandchildren; Jackie Wampler, Chris Quinn, Katie Crosby, Stephen Brown all of Spartanburg and Holly Smith of Brookings, OR and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Dunbar Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM today, Saturday, September 1, 2012 with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by the Reverend Bill Adams and Reverend Tim Mills. In remembrance of Mr. Brown, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home; 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303
