Donald Steven West

Spartanburg- Donald Steven “Steve” West, 60, husband of Sandra Miller West died Thursday, August 16, 2012. Steve was born in Spartanburg, SC, a son of Jonelle Weaver West and the late Donald L. West. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1970, and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. Steve honorably served his country in the US Army. Steve was a building contractor and worked in the family business. In addition to his wife, Sandra, Steve is survived by two brothers, Chris West (Kay) and Joey West (Barbara); a step son, Andrew Miller; one grandchild, Hannah Blackburn Miller. Steve was predeceased by two sons, Don and Greg West. Steve will be missed by Minnie, Sally, Chief and Little Bit. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday, August 20, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Hank Williams. The Family will receive friends at their respective homes and immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, or to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, 419 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
