Pauline, SC – Willie Mae Hyatt Lancaster, wife of the late Morris “Red” Bomar Lancaster Jr., died peacefully Monday, July 30, 2012. Willie Mae was born on August 29, 1929 in the Walnut Grove Community of Spartanburg County to the late Ernest and Julia Lancaster Hyatt. She was a graduate of Roebuck High School and a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church. Willie Mae is survived by two sons, Marshall Holder (Phyllis), Thomas Lancaster (Katie Grau); two daughters, Karen H. Monts (David), Jenny H. Toney (Barry); a sister, Carrie Lancaster; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Annie M. Johnson; four brothers, Charles, Lonnie, Wilbur and Dupre Hyatt. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, conducted by Reverend Richard Thomas and Mr. Mark Kozak. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church; 1399 Walnut Grove Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; 260 Fairwinds Rd., Landrum, SC 29356. The family would like to extend its appreciation to the caregivers at the Golden Age Nursing Home and the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for their care and support.
