Jeannette Kemp Bridges

Jeannette Kemp Bridges Spartanburg- Jeannette Kemp Bridges, age 74, wife of the late Ted J. Bridges went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012. Born on January 26, 1938, Jeannette was the daughter of the late Julian William and Nina Louise Mitchell Kemp. She was a native of Bermuda. Her hobbies included traveling, golfing, gardening and knitting. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was known as “Granny”. Jeannette was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church. Jeannette is survived by five children, Julian Bridges (Kim); Richard Bridges (Trudy); Roger Bridges (Pam); Lisa B. Fowler (Ronald) and Deborah Whitt (Kenneth). She leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and Jessie, her favorite lap companion. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 4:00 pm at St. Matthews Episcopal Church conducted by Reverend Rob Brown. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery. In remembrance of Jeannette, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Episcopal Church Food Pantry, 101 St. Matthews Lane, Spartanburg SC 29301.
