Thomas Donald Soltau Sr.

Moore, SC – Thomas “Tom” Donald Soltau Sr., husband of Roseanne Soltau, died on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 61. He was born in Duluth, MN on December 18, 1950 to the late Edward and Charlotte Gustafson Soltau. Tom graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Accounting and held a position as Senior Cost Accountant for DSE Systems in Gaffney, SC. He enjoyed golf, loved listening to the Beatles, and cheering for the Gamecocks. Tom was an avid reader. He enjoyed Clancy, Tolkien and many other authors. Tom is survived by three children; Dr. Thomas Soltau Jr and wife, Angie, of Alabama, Jessica Scruggs and husband, Cliff, of New Mexico, Andrew Soltau of South Carolina and a sister, Dr. Susan Kilham of New Jersey. Tom was also blessed with four grandchildren, Tori, Megan, Rachel and Robyn; two stepsons, Michael Simmons and wife, Sheila, and Matthew Simmons of SC. Tom was predeceased in death by his son, Gabe Soltau, and his brother, Edward Soltau. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Reverend Jim Jackson. A visitation will immediately follow the service.
