Roebuck; Charles Dacus Baxter, age 48, husband of Cheryl Goodson Baxter for 26 years,  died suddenly on Friday, November 30, 2012.Charlie was born in Orlando, Florida to Viola Rose Baxter and the late Charles D. Baxter.  He was a graduate of Jefferson County High School in Danridge, TN. Charlie continued his education at the Citadel, graduating in 1986 as a member of India Company. He honorably served his country as Captain in the United States Army. Charlie was Associate Vice President of Iatric Systems, Inc. He and his family recently moved to Roebuck, SC from Chattanooga, TN, where he was actively involved in the community and his church, Bayside Baptist Church. Charlie always put his faith and family first. He was actively involved in his church as a deacon, Director of AWANA, and numerous other church activities. Charlie was also active in the Boy Scouts as a troop leader.  At the time of his death, Charlie was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church in Spartanburg.In addition to his wife and mother, Charlie is survived by a son; Charles Dacus Baxter Jr. of the home; a daughter, Caroline Baxter Robinette and her husband, Jordan and their daughter Angelia, of Spartanburg.  He is also survived by a brother, Jerry Baxter and his fiancée, Hillary, of Kodak, TN; brother-in-law, Ernest Goodson and his wife Mary of Florence, SC; sister-in-law, Suzy Taylor and her husband Bill of Spartanburg. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at   4:00 PM in the sanctuary of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church by Reverend Dr. D. J. Horton and Reverend Grady Cooper.The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church sanctuary.The family will be at the home.
