Betty Jean Powell

Roebuck, SC- Betty Jean Dyke Powell, 65, passed away Wednesday, December 05, 2012 after a courageous battle against cancer. Betty was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Culver Dyke of Arizona and is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John A. Powell of Spartanburg; two daughters, Rebecca Sorrells and her husband Danny of Canton, NC and Susan Rice and her husband Wildon of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren, Joshua Rathbone, Caitlyn, and Christopher Rice; two brothers, Charles “Butch” and Robert Dyke; three sisters, Kathy, Pat, and Joyce all of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. A private celebration of Betty’s life will be held. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their care and kindness.
