Judson Derieux Powers

Spartanburg, SC- Judson Derieux Powers, 72, husband of the late Lena Maxwell Powers, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Judson was born April 26, 1940 in Startex, SC to the late Thurmond and Mattie Lee Davis Powers. He was a graduate of Byrnes High School, and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. He was a loan officer for Wachovia Bank for over 20 years, and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mr. Powers is survived by one daughter, Tammy Powers of Spartanburg; one brother David Powers of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Powers and Holly Dosher of Spartanburg. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Friday, December 21, 2012 at Morningside Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Dr. Kirk Neely. The visitation will follow immediately after the service.
