Kathryn Maxa Holl

Spartanburg, SC- Kathryn “Chookie” Maxa Holl, 82, wife of John H. Holl, died on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Kathryn was born July 5, 1930 to the late Lawrence and Kathryn Maxa in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Kathryn was a member of Joy Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by two sons, John H. Holl and his wife Joyce, and David W. Holl and his wife Mary Pat, both of Pittsburg, PA; one daughter, Patricia Ann Barnette and her husband Joe of Lyman; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Friday, December 21, 2012 at Joy Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend Lane Bembenek and Reverend Ashley Twitchell. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joy Lutheran Church for Carpenters Table Food Pantry, 3980 Moore-Duncan Highway, Moore, SC 29369.
