Fred Kenyon Morris III

Moore, SC- Fred Kenyon Morris III, 62, loving husband of Carol Ann Morris, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Fred was born February 8, 1950 in Gastonia, NC to Fred Kenyon and Mary Ann Talley Morris, Jr. He lived in Fort Mill, SC for several years where he raised his step-daughter, and her three children. Fred relocated to the Spartanburg area around 1999 with his employer, Raynor Mfg. Co. He was with Raynor for over 26 years and loved the job of driving his big truck making deliveries across the Carolinas. He and Carol were married in 2003. He enjoyed sports (was an athlete in High School), dancing (especially the shag), beach music and oldies, playing golf, and spending time at their Lake Greenwood home. Fred cooked the best pot roast ever, which will never be forgotten or duplicated. In addition to his wife and parents, Fred is survived by one sister, Deb Morris; one stepdaughter, Lori McKinney; two step sons, Russell and Christopher Dominick (Carol’s sons), three step grandchildren (Lori’s children), Cortney, Casey, and Blake Cordell; two step great grandchildren, David Cordell (Casey’s son) and Callie Moore (Cortney’s daughter); and his “bro,” Steve Nash. A memorial service will be Thursday, January 3, 2013, 2:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Dorri Sherrill. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
