Wallace Franklin Revels, Sr.

Roebuck, SC- Wallace Franklin Revels, Sr., 73, husband of Linda Kay Eargle Revels, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Wallace was born December 5, 1939 in Clifton, SC to the late John Roland and Loal Mae Jeffries Revels. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. In addition to his wife of 38 years, he is survived by two sons, Wally Revels, Jr., and his wife, Carol, of Fitsburg, WI, and Jason Revels and his wife, Christy, of Spartanburg; his special friends, Hal and Marisa Lee and their children of Roebuck; one brother, Roger Revels and his wife, Dee, of Inman; one sister in-law, Bonnie Hicks and her husband, Morris, of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Maria, Savannah, and Taylor Revels; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 12, 2013, 1:00pm-2:00pm in the St. John’s Lutheran Church fellowship hall. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm, officiated by Reverend Mike Shackelford and Reverend Emiley Edenfield. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
