William Leonard Love, Jr.

Boiling Springs, SC- William Leonard Love, Jr., 80, husband of the late Evelyn Plexico Love, died on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Born November 5, 1932 to the late William and Bertie Satterfield Love, Sr., William was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, Class of ’51. He retired from Community Cash after managing frozen foods for over 35 years. His favorite hobby was woodworking and making gifts for his family and friends. William was a previous member of West Main Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit. William is survived by Catherine Zimmerman; his son, Tim Love and his wife, Catherine, of Inman; his daughter, Cathy L. Montgomery and her husband, Tommy, of Lyman; two brothers, Don Love and his wife, Mary Ann, of Moore, and Bobby Love and his wife, Judy, of Greer; two sisters, Shirley Sparnell and her husband, Jack, of Smyrna, GA, and Peggy Garrett of Moore; three grandchildren, Christy H. Bailey and her husband, Frankie, of Inman, Mason T. Love and his wife, Christy, of Philadelphia, PA, and Whitney A. Love of Greenville; and two great grandchildren, Hannah E. Bailey, and F. Jarrid Bailey. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Edith L. Trail. A graveside service will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, 2:00pm in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Rupert Guest. The family will be at the home, 719 E. Long Bay Drive, Inman, SC 29349. In remembrance of William, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
