William Wade Mather

McCormick, SC- William Wade Mather, 48, husband of Tina Chinners Mather, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Born August 5, 1964 in Ogden, Utah, Wade was the son of William J. and Janice Christensen Mather. Wade was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1982. He attended USC Upstate and graduated from SC Criminal Justice Academy with the Highway Patrol where he was employed for 23 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Cody and Jordan Mather of McCormick, SC, and Marshall Nichols and his wife, Heaven, of Ft. Hood, TX; two daughters, Haley Nichols of McCormick, SC, and Ashley Bucci and her husband, Nick, of Sumter, SC; three sisters, Valerie Lyn Drollinger and her husband, Mark, of Bloomfield, NM, Jennifer Leigh Marrott and her husband, Marshall, of Vancover, WA, and Amanda Jo Conner and her husband, Brett, of Lewisville, NC; and his grandchild, Creed Nichols. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 19, 2013, 10:00am-11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 121 Quail Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302. A funeral service will be Saturday, January 19, 2013, beginning at 11:30am, officiated by “Dad” Harold Harmon. The burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
