Shirley Warlick Dean

Spartanburg, SC- Shirley Comer Warlick Dean, 77, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Shirley was born January 20, 1936 to the late Albert and Ida Mae Randall Comer. She was employed with SRMC for over 20 years. Shirley was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother and will be sorely missed. She was of the Baptist faith. Shirley is survived by a son, Todd Warlick, Sr. and his wife, Jill, of Roebuck; one daughter, Torri Vanderburg and her husband, Charles, of Pauline; a step-son, Marvin Dean and his wife, Tina, and their children Matthew and Brandy; a step-daughter, Dianne McElrath and her husband, Mike, and their children Benjamin and Amanda; two brothers, Ronald Comer, and Keith Comer, Sr., both of Spartanburg; and three grandchildren, Todd Warlick, Jr., Tyler Warlick, and Tristan Vanderburg. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Warlick, and her late husband, Lee Dean; one son, Tim Warlick; also by four loving brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2013, 1:00-2:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eden Terrace Employee Fund, 2780 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
