Larry D. "Bimbo" Worley

November 15, 1956 — February 14, 2013

     Larry D. “Bimbo” Worley Spartanburg- Larry Dean “Bimbo” Worley, 56, husband of the late Lea Vise, went to be with the Lord, after a long illness, on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Larry was born in Cowpens, SC; he was a son of the late Marion Amos and Betty Johnson Worley. Larry attended Cowpens High School.  He worked in construction the majority of his life.  Larry had a passion for Top Fuel Motorcycles and worked with racing teams for many years.  He was also involved the Dixie All Stars and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Larry donated many years of his time, cooking “Bimbo’s World Famous Chicken”, for many charities, benefits, and other various causes that he deeply cared for. Larry leaves behind two brothers, Roger and wife, Dana, ; Gene and wife Susan all of Wellford and a sister Nancy Worley of Clifton, SC.  Surviving him is a nephew, Nicholas Worley, two nieces, Cora and Shelby Helms, two step-daughters, April Gibson and Jessica Vise, and a step granddaughter Alyssa Gibson all of Spartanburg He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends at the Dunbar Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2013, followed a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Fred Quigley.  Larry was a beloved brother, uncle, and a dear friend to many.  In his memory, memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Spartanburg, 295 E. Main Street, suite 100, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The Family is at their respective homes
