Jane Reeder Lanford

Spartanburg, SC- Jane Reeder Lanford, 87, wife of the late Faber Smith Lanford, died on Monday, February 18, 2013. Jane was the daughter of the late Landon Edgar and Margaret Cornelia Hemminger Reeder, born on February 26, 1925 in Gramling, SC. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and was a beautician at the Esta Reeder Beauty Salon. She was previously employed with Orthopedic Associates for over 30 years. Jane is survived by a daughter, Debra L. Johnson (Chris) of Roebuck, SC; three grandchildren, Kevin Turner, Lisa Schultz, and Lori Townsend; four great grandchildren; and a special niece and nephew, Helen and Bob Cartee. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Teresa L. Turner. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 20, 2013, 11:00-11:45am at Oak Grove Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, 12:00pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Rufus Chaneyworth and Reverend Jason Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 350 N. Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
