William Ray Allen

Spartanburg, SC- William Ray Allen, husband of Margaret Stewart Allen, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Ray was born May 3, 1939 to the late Elbert Leroy and Lillie Watson Allen. He was a retired electrical contractor and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by a son, Michael Ray Allen of Roebuck, SC; a daughter, Lori George of Roebuck, SC; a brother Bob Allen of Sumter, SC; and three grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Christopher Allen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, 2pm at Canaan Baptist Church with a visitation to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan Baptist Church, 701 Canaan Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Family is at the home.
