Marian Parks Johnson

Spartanburg – Marian Patricia Parks Johnson, 92, former 30 year resident of Murph Road, Pauline, died Sunday, March 3, 2013. Born in Inman, Marian was a daughter of the late Convy and Lennie Mae Dixon Parks. She was an avid quilter, hiker, and a past member of the Walnut Grove Garden Club. Marian is survived by four daughters, Linda J. Laster (John) of Pauline, Alice J. Cooper (Kenneth) of Spartanburg, Inell J. Barnes (Jeff DeMontmorency) of Boiling Springs, and Patricia G. Hensley of Enoree. She was blessed with five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Marian was predeceased by two brothers, Neville A. Parks, Boyce K. Parks; and a great granddaughter, Makenzie Gilliland. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Andrew Franceen, Pastor of Grace Bible Church, Moore, SC. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Interim Healthcare Hospice; 16 Highland Rd., Greenville, SC 29615 or the charity of your choice. The family will be at their respective homes.
