Jimmie Alene Wilson

Roebuck, SC-Alene Wilson, 67, died on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Alene was born April 19, 1945 to the late Wallace William and Julia James Wyatt, and raised in the Golightly community. She attended Roebuck High School, and retired from Flowers Bakery in the early 90’s. After her retirement, Alene worked at Anderson Mill and Roebuck Elementary schools in the cafeteria. She was a member of Powell Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa W. Stafford and her husband, Jeff; her son, Bryan Wilson; her brother, Hubert Wyatt; sister in-law and beloved friend, Joyce Wyatt; two grandchildren, Kristy White and Luke Stafford; one great grandchild, Talon McKitrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alene was very close to her oldest sister, Eula Lee and her two daughters, Diane Dixon and Linda Crowe. Alene is predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 24, 2013, 4:00pm-6:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, 2013, 2:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Fred Thompson and Reverend Larry Fleming. The burial will follow the service in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. In remembrance of Alene, memorials may be made to Powell Presbyterian Church, 119 County Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
