George Washington Winn

Inman, SC- George Winn, 68, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013. George was born June 22, 1944 in Inman, SC to the late Thomas Walter and Florence Black Winn. For many years, he worked for Central Refrigeration and also with Budweiser. George was of the Baptist faith. George is survived by his brother, TW “Buddy” Winn, Sr. of Anderson; three sisters, Della Garrett of Spartanburg, Carolyn Melton of Taylors, and Joyce Harbin of Greer; and one half-sister, Grace Godfrey of Welford. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one sister, Nancy Elizabeth Winn; and three brothers, Joe Oliver, Frankie Alvin, and David Winn. A private memorial service will be held at the home of Tootsie Garrett, 180 Trenton Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
