Mariana Banessa Melchor

Spartanburg- Mariana Melchor, 34, wife of Ruben Melchor, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Mariana, born in Mexico, was a daughter of Juan and Maria Elena Rojas Contreras. She worked as a medical secretary for DHEC at the Spartanburg Health Department. Mariana attended the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior where she was active in the Spanish Ministry. In addition to her husband and parents, Mariana is survived by two daughters, Sophie and Leslie Melchor, both of the home. She also leaves behind her siblings, Susie Gonzales and her husband Miguel, Edgar Contreras and his wife Amanda, Juan J. Contreras, Ernesto Contreras, and Andrea Contreras. The family will receive friends at the Dunbar Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2013, from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 PM in the Dunbar Funeral Home chapel.
