Laura Graham Wood

Spartanburg, SC- Laura G. Wood, 81, died Saturday, August 17, 2013. Born March 4, 1932 in Whiteville, NC, Laura was the daughter of the late Otis Morgan and Eva “Sweetie” Dalma McQueen Graham. She was a retired teacher from Loris Middle School. Laura also proudly served at the Loris Community Hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Loris United Methodist Church. Laura is survived by her son, Bert Thomas Wood (Sheila) of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter, Eva Rowe (Terry) of Longs, SC; her brother, Dr. Jack M. Graham (Peggy) of Spartanburg, SC; one grandson, Jacob Thomas Wood of Lexington, SC; and four nephews, Jack Jr., David, Cole, and Phillip Graham. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 21st, 12:00-1:00pm at the Goldfinch Funeral Home- Loris Chapel, 1011 Highway 9 Business East, Loris SC 29569. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the Chapel at 1pm, officiated by Reverend Essie Mae Bromell. Burial will be in the Patterson Cemetery.
