Kenneth Melvin Sampson

Roebuck, SC- Kenneth Melvin Sampson, 75, husband of Mary Jo Bradford Sampson, died Monday, August 26, 2013. Born March 20, 1938 in Robeson County, NC, he was a son of Tracy and Bessie Brayboy Sampson. Kenneth honorably served his country in the U.S Army. He retired after 37 years of service with Monsanto/MEMC. Kenneth was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Brad Sampson (Melanie) of St. Charles, MO; two daughters, Mary Barnard (Gary) of Spartanburg, and Trina Mikelonis (Bill) of Warrenton, VA; three brothers; three sisters; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 28th, 2pm at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend John Rickert. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 31st, in Lake Springs Cemetery in Dent County, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1645 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or the Soup Kitchen, 136 S. Forest Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306
