Barbara Jean Dial Clayton

Spartanburg, SC- Barbara J. Dial Clayton, 80, widow of the late Harold J. Clayton, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Born July 13, 1933 in Spartanburg, Barbara was a daughter of the late Shell and Edna Ruth Hadden Dial. She was a graduate of Fairforest High School, class of 1951, and was retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after 17 years of service. Barbara participated in the Adult One Sunday school class and was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Barbara is survived by her brother, Robert Dial and his wife, Jo Ann of Spartanburg; and her sister, Kay D. Daniels and her husband, Roger of Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey L. Clayton, who died September 5, 2013; and two brothers, Larry A. and David W. Dial. Graveside services for Barbara and her son, Jeff, will be today, September 12th, 10:30am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes. In remembrance of Barbara, memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369.
