Dewitt Arnold, Sr

Spartanburg- Dewitt Arnold Sr., 88, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. A native of Spartanburg, Mr. Arnold was born on December 30, 1924. He was the son of the late John Thomas and Essie Harris Arnold. Mr. Arnold was retired from Mayfair Mills and was a member of Roebuck Church of God. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in World War II. Mr. Arnold is survived by his son, Dewitt Arnold Jr. and his wife Janice; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Edith Suttles Arnold and two sons, Jimmy and Walter Arnold. Visitation will be held at the Dunbar Funeral Home on Monday, October 14 from 6-8PM. A Funeral Service will be at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 15 at 2:00PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Dunbar Funeral Home c/o Dewitt Arnold, Sr., PO Box 6424, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The Family will be at the home of Dewitt Arnold Jr.
