Betty Bailey Earley

Spartanburg, SC- Betty E. Bailey Earley, 88, wife of the late Edward Blaine Earley, died Wednesday, November 06, 2013. Born August 8, 1925 in Cliffside, NC, Betty was a daughter of the late Ernest M. and Pearl Walker Bailey. She was retired from Winn Dixie after over 36 years of service. Betty was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she sang with the Shade Tree Musicians and was an adult Sunday School teacher. She will be forever missed for the great friend and neighbor that she was. Betty is survived by one grandson, Charles E. “Ched” Garrett of Inman, SC. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Joyce E. Garrett Richburg, and her sister, Gladys Vaughan. The family will receive friends Friday, November 8th, 10:00-11:00am at Dunbar Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11am in the Chapel, officiated by Reverend Schuyler Peterson, Reverend Maria Miller, and Reverend David Blanton. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens mausoleum. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Lutheran Hospice for taking such excellent care of Betty.
