Sylvia Messick Quinn

Roebuck, SC- Sylvia M. Quinn, 74, wife of 55 years to Kenneth Quinn, died peacefully at her home Saturday, November 16, 2013. Sylvia was born June 2, 1939 to the late Dan and Nell Yarborough Messick in Spartanburg, SC. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Sylvia was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Alice Quinn and Christy Willis; a brother, Authur Wayne Messick and his wife Sandra; brother in-law, Gerald Quinn; sister in-law, Maxine Teaster; and two grandchildren, Auston Quinn Owens and Daylan Quinn, both of which were the light of her life. Sylvia was predeceased by a daughter, Rhonda Quinn; and a brother, Randy Messick. The family will receive friends Monday, November 18th, 1:00pm-2:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow immediately after the visitation at 2pm in the Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Rick Millwood. In remembrance of Sylvia, memorials may be made to the Soup Kitchen, 136 S.
