James Gregory "Gregg" Pettit

Spartanburg, SC- James G. Pettit, 53, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 26, 1960 in Spartanburg, SC, Gregg was a son of Earl Dean and Judy Mahaffey Pettit. After attending Dorman High School, he served his country as a US Marine. Gregg was a self-employed electrician by trade, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Traci Pettit Hubbard (Tyson III); his brother, Timothy Dean Pettit, Sr.; two nephews, Tyson H. Hubbard IV, and Timothy Dean Pettit, Jr., and his daughter, Jada Adele Pettit; and three nieces, Bailey Anne Pettit, Ashley Anne Hubbard, and Allyson Brooke Pettit. A memorial service will be Monday, January 27th, 11:00am at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
