Irene Biggs Sparks

Spartanburg, SC- Irene B. Sparks, 93, wife of Lawrence “Bud” Sparks, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Irene was born November 1, 1920 in Henderson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late James W. and Mattie Boone Biggs. She was retired from Mayfair Mills. Irene was a loving person with a passion for flowers and the outdoors. Mrs. Sparks is the last surviving member of her immediate family. The family will receive friends Friday, January 31st, 11:00am at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel beginning at 12noon, officiated by Reverend Danny Cannon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piedmont Hospice, 209-A Riverside Court, Greer, SC 29650.
