Frances Boniface Cannon
Frances Boniface Cannon, 63, of Spartanburg SC, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Spartanburg, Monday the 24th, 2014
She was born to the late Dr. John and the surviving Elma “Shorty” Boniface, Nov. 02, 1950, in Augusta, Ga. Frances graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1969.
Frances was a devoted mother and grandmother. After raising her three children, she spent her time working with Wofford College students and developing many relationships with young people along the way. She believed in nurturing the human spirit above all else. She was also a committed Sister and Aunt to all of her 15 nieces and nephews and 3 grandnieces and nephews. She spent every moment with her children and grandchildren.
Frances is survived by three children: Lenox Cannon Jr. “Lenny” of Spartanburg, John Thaddeus “Tad” of Spartanburg and Sally Jennings Cannon of Mount Pleasant, as well as two daughter in laws, Addy Cannon and Sandra Cannon. She also is survived by two grandchildren, John Thaddeus Cannon Jr “Tab” and Louise Jennings Cannon also of Spartanburg. As well as her siblings, Marie Duncan, Julie Lancaster, Patti Stinson, Johnny Boniface, and Mary Mabry all of Spartanburg.
A Graveside service will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by the Reverend J. Edward “Ned” Morris and Reverend Debra Griffis Woodberry .
Family will receive friends and family at the home of her son, Tad and Sandra Cannon immediately after the service.
