Ashley Rogers Layton

Woodruff, SC- Ashley Layton, 39, wife of Jeff Layton, passed away after a 7 year courageous battle against cancer on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Born July 22, 1974 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Barry Vernon and Gladys “Tug” Linder Rogers. Ashley was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend to everyone. She was a dedicated substitute teacher for Woodruff district 4 schools, and was a very active member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Avery, Aubrey, and Arden Layton; her brother, Scott Rogers (Bryanna); niece, Lexi Rogers; nephew, Brayden Rogers; grandmother, Mabel Rogers; and her mother and father in-law, Ray and Brenda Layton. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8th, 6:00-8:00pm at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 9th, 4:00pm at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Robert Bevill and Reverend Latta B. Terry. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of her parents, Barry and Tug Rogers.
