Mayo Mac Boggs

Spartanburg, SC- Mac Boggs, 71, Professor Emeritus of Art, and husband of Dr. Ansley Hassell Boggs, died at home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 10, 2014. Born in Ashland, KY, Mac was the son of Marjorie Kesling Boggs and the late Jesse Jay Boggs In addition to his wife and mother, Mac is survived by three daughters, Gretchen Kelly Smith (Joey) of Spartanburg, Suzannah “Zan” Cain Farr (Jay) of Greenville, Sarah Jordan Ilderton (Adam) of Nashville, TN; a son, Will Boggs of Spartanburg; and sisters, Phyllis Ross (Gary) of Credo, WV; Dorothy Lembach (Jim) Trenton, Oh. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 22, 2014 in the Daniel Recital Hall at Converse. All Converse alumnae, family and friends are invited to attend.
