Charles Edward Huitt

Spartanburg, SC- Charles E. Huitt, husband of Lillie Cornelia Orr Huitt, died Friday, March 21, 2014. Born January 24, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC, Charles was a son of the late Clayton Welford and Valley Elizabeth Meadows Huitt. He retired from Arkwright Mills after many years of service and was a member of Una First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 60 years, Charles is survived by his son, James W. Huitt; his daughter, Charlene E. Ferguson (Bryan); three brothers, John T., Houston, and Paul Huitt; one sister, Virginia Coggins; and three grandchildren, Michael Ferguson, Karey Huitt, and Justin Huitt. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 23rd, 6:00-8:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24th, 2:00pm in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Kenneth Cash. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
