Duncan, SC- Janice Walker, 66, wife of Bill Walker, died Friday, March 28, 2014.
Born February 9, 1948 in Bostic, NC, Janice was a daughter of the late Autherow and Esther Cook Marshall. She was retired from PPG Industries after 22 years of service. Janice was an avid gardener who loved to travel and enjoyed “The Wednesday Morning Coffee Club.” She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Janice will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, she is survived by two daughters, Missy Yarborough (Cameron) of Inman, SC, and Sandy Edge (Tim) of Moore, SC; one brother, Sam Marshall of Fort Mill, SC; four sisters, Lucille Matheson of Mooresboro, NC, Grace Hubbard of Belwood, NC, Karen Black of Ellenboro, NC, and Kay Sims of Lake Lure, NC; six grandchildren, Justin and Chase Ballard, Zack, Lauren, and Luke Edge, and Kaden Yarborough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 30th, 2:00-4:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31st, 4:00PM at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Robert Bevill and Reverend David Walker.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
