Wilford Elmore Sherbert

Wilford Elmore Sherbert Spartanburg – Wilford Elmore Sherbert, 66, husband of Gayle Smith Sherbert , died Monday, March 24, 2014. Wilford was born on July 12, 1947 to the late Howard Elmore and Bertha Cook Sherbert . He was the owner and operator of Sherberts and Robbs Trim Shop. Wilford was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved NASCAR. He was a member of Drayton Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Wilford is survived by his son, Terry Sherbert (Joy); his daughter, Tammy Taylor (Travis) both of Spartanburg; and four sisters, Dot Geddes and Edith Brock, both of Inman, Marguerite Hayes of Spartanburg, and Carolyn Stenger of Peach Tree City, GA. Wilford was blessed with six grandchildren, Christopher Sherbert (Amanda) of Boiling Springs, NC, Tamara and Will Sherbert, Trent and Tucker Taylor, and Adam Thomas, all of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Brown. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 30th, 6:00-8:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 31st, 2:00pm in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance of Wilford, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6411. The family is at the home.
