Linda Cudd Leamy

Linda Cudd Leamy Spartanburg – Linda Cudd Leamy, 71, wife of George Leamy, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, in her sleep while on vacation in St. Augustine, Florida. Linda was born on August 5, 1942 in Spartanburg to the late John Arley and Moree Hudson Cudd. Linda was a lifelong member of Central Church of Christ, a graduate of the former Fairforest High School, and worked eventually as the Vice President of the Loan Department of C&S Bank before retiring.  She will be remembered for her hospitality to many, her fondness of cooking and traveling, her sweet gentle spirit, her faithfulness to the Lord, and her unselfish love of others. In addition to her husband of 39 years, Linda is survived by her children; Richard (Joanne) of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, Steven (Karen) and David both of Spartanburg, and Lisa Smith (Allen) of Pauline, SC.  She is also survived by loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, very special nieces, wonderful cousins, a special sister-in-law, Carole Gilbert of Peachtree City, Georgia, and numerous incredibly special friends.  Linda was predeceased by a brother, John Ervin Cudd and a sister, Karen Cudd.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Central Church of Christ, officiated by Mr. Ernie Thigpen, Reverend Louis Miller, and Reverend Russell Makant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund; 2052 N. Church St. Place, Spartanburg, SC 29303 The family is at the home.
