James Byron Bulman

Roebuck, SC – James “Bull” Bulman, 73, passed away Saturday evening, May 17, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Born May 19, 1940 in Spartanburg, Jimmy was a son of the late Byron Oliver and Leona Hughes Bulman. He was a graduate of Roebuck High School and was employed with Texaco in Camp Croft for over 17 years. Jimmy also co-owned and operated By-Pass Alignment and Truck Service until his retirement. He was a Past Master of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge 357, 32 degree Mason, and a Shriner. Jimmy was also a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Jimmy is survived by his son, James B. Bulman, Jr. and his wife, Paula, and their children, Jake and Luke Bulman, all of Matthews, NC; daughter, Toni Emory of Greenville, SC, and her children Jordan Sisk and Nathan Emory, both of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Tommy Bulman and his wife, Anthulas of Roebuck, SC; two sisters, Emily Harrison and her husband, Danny, of Roebuck, SC, and Margaret Howell of Inman, SC; granddaughter, Tammy Sue Monroig of Spartanburg, SC; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Bulman; a granddaughter, Heather Burson; and a brother, Larry Bulman. The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Monday, May 19th, 4:00-5:15pm. A memorial service will follow in the Sanctuary at 5:30pm, officiated by Reverend Jim Oliver and Reverend Kevin Harrison. Honorary escorts will be the Past Masters and members of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge, 357. Inurnment with Masonic Rites will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. In remembrance of Jimmy, memorial contributions may be made to Roebuck Masonic Lodge, Building Fund, P O Box 304, Roebuck, SC 29376; or Bethlehem Baptist Church, Haiti Missions, P O Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376.
