Barry David Goldman

Spartanburg, SC- Barry Goldman, 71, husband of Susan Felsher Goldman, died at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home on Monday, June 2, 2014. Barry was a New York City police officer before he began his journey to Spartanburg in 1969. He started working at Butte Knit under the tutelage of Sandor Teszler. Barry was currently the facilities manager at American Credit Acceptance. Barry had a passion for singing and performing with the Spartanburg Little Theater. He appeared in many productions and will be most remembered for his portrayal of the king in “The King and I.” Barry was on the Boards of Spartanburg Little Theater and The Children’s Shelter. He was a member of Temple B’nai Israel. Barry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was happiest when spending time with his four grandsons. In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his son, Bryan Goldman and his wife, Tracie, and their children Elijah and Max Goldman, all of Spartanburg, SC; his daughter, Andi Hannula and her husband, Scott, and their children, Adam and Zack Hannula, all of Groveland, MA; his brother, Howard Goldman and his wife, Randi, of East Meadow, NY; and his sister, Sandra Zambuto and her husband, Joe, of Williamstown, NJ. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 4th, 11:00am at Temple B’Nai Isreal, conducted by Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz. Burial will immediately follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Little Theatre, 200 E. St. John Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
