William Darrell Burgess, Sr.

Spartanburg, SC- Darrell Burgess, 74, husband of June Stevens Burgess, died Sunday, June 15, 2014. Born June 27, 1939, in Gaston County, NC, Darrell was a son of the late Morrison and Lillian Mobley Burgess. In addition to his wife, Darrell is survived by two sons, Darrell Burgess, Jr. (Cynthia) of Counce, TN, and Walton Kearns of Council, NC; five daughters, Donna Edwards (Butch) of Dallas, NC, Michelle Banik (Rudolph) of Denver, NC, Sonja Burgess of Gastonia, NC, Juanita Hornsby (Charles) of Spartanburg, and Rebecca Kearns of Asheboro, NC; one brother, Max Burgess of Dallas, NC; seventeen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 18th, 1:00PM at Dallas Four Square Church.
