JC Johnson

Moore, SC- JC Johnson, 79, husband of Gail Melton Johnson, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Born April 3, 1935, in Duncan, SC, he was a son of the late Richard and Mary Burnette Johnson. JC was an avid farmer and a loving husband and father. He was a member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, JC is survived by his son Jerry Johnson (Marion); two daughters, Carolyn Mitchem (Terry), and Candy Franklin (David); five grandchildren, Janet Gallman, Cory Watson, Jessica Johnson, Julia Gail Mitchem, and Jamison Franklin; and two great grandsons, William and Hayden Gallman. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 18th, 6:00-8:00pm at Nazareth Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19th, 11:00am, Nazareth Presbyterian Church, officiated by Reverend David Sutton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth Presbyterian Church, 680 Nazareth Church Rd, Moore, SC 29369.
