Francis P. "Frank" Morris

Spartanburg, SC- Francis P. Morris, 87, husband of the late Barbara Gault Morris, died Sunday, June 22, 2014. Frank was born May 3, 1927 in Jonesville, SC, and was a son of the late Pierce and Sarah Myrtle Reeves Morris. He honorably served his country in the US Army during WWII. Frank was a member of Croft Baptist Church for over 55 years. He is survived by his son, Neal Morris (Mitzi) of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers, John and Dean Morris, both of Jonesville, SC; two grandchildren, Wilson Burwell of Goodyear, AZ, and Krista Burwell of Spartanburg, SC; two great grandchildren; and a special friend, Ms. Sarah Easler. In addition to his wife, Frank is predeceased by his daughter, Beverly M. Burwell; two brothers; and a sister. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Spartanburg Dialysis Clinic for all of their help and support. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 25th, 11:00-12:00noon at Croft Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Joe Dempsy. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Croft Baptist Church, 4190 E. Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
