Jacqulyn Sloan Neely

Jacqulyn S. Neely Laurens- Jacqulyn Sloan Neely, 83, wife of Herbert W. Neely, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, Laurens, SC. Jackie was born in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late Jessie Enlow and Bessie League Sloan. She studied nursing at Spartanburg General Hospital. Jackie met Herbert while in Nursing School; they were commissioned as Southern Baptist Missionaries, serving 16 years in Rhodesia and 17 Years in the Cayman Islands. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Jackie is survived by three sons, Wesley W. Neely( Cheryl) of Dallas, TX, Nigel E. Neely (Pam) of Roebuck, Herbert W. Neely Jr. (Chris) of Spartanburg; two daughters, Bess N. Larkins (Rick) of Inman and Margaret-Ann Swift (Ed) of Chapel Hill, NC. She was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A private family service and committal will be held. A memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center.
