John Patrick Hughes, Jr

John Patrick Hughes, Jr Spartanburg - John Patrick Hughes, Jr. passed away on August 1, 2014.He was the oldest son of Jane Klim Hughes and the late John P. Hughes, Sr. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Jean Bryant Hughes. John is survived by his sons, Joshua P. Hughes (Jeffeny) and Michael Devore Bryant; grandchildren Pearl and Hank Hughes; Sister, Jane Hughes Warner; Brothers, Mark Hughes and Luke Hughes (Kay). John was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church where he was an usher and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Pic-A-Book and City News Agency. He was past president of the Spartan West Rotary Club and a very active member of the Chamber of Commerce and was recognized many times as Ambassador of the Month and an Eagle Scout. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11am in the parish church with a visitation immediately following in the Parish Center.
