Josephine Irick Faust

Spartanburg, SC- Josephine I. Faust, 90, wife of the late Alfred David Faust, died Wednesday, August 06, 2014. Born April 12, 1924 in Elloree, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Heber and Julia Felkel Irick. Josephine and Alfred were avid western square dancers and were a part of the Capital Swingers and Kalico Kapers square dance clubs for many years. She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC. Josephine is survived by two daughters, Julianne Faust Watson and her husband, James, and Jane Faust Chastain; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by three children, Alfred David, Jr., Madeline Theresa, and John Heber Faust. The family will receive friends Friday, August 8th, 10:00-11:00am at Joy Lutheran Church. A funeral service will immediately follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00am, officiated by Reverend Lane Bembenek. Burial will be held later that day, 3:30pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, 390 Hampton Street, Elloree, SC, officiated by Pastor Jim Nichols and Pastor Tim Bupp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
