Gene Austin Keller

Moore, SC- Gene A. Keller, 79, husband of Margaret E. “Peggy” Coggins Keller, died Saturday, August 9, 2014. Born January 14, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC, Gene was a son of the late John Benjamin and Emmie Rose Mitchell Keller. He was a graduate of Fairforest High School and retired from Fairforest Finishing Plant after 42 years of service. Gene was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Candace “Renee” Fowler (Michael) of Panama City, FL and Rhonda Cheleotis of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Brandon Cheleotis (Brandy) of Boiling Springs, SC, Kyle Cheleotis (Elizabeth) of Inman, SC, Michael Fowler, and Daniel Fowler, both of Florida; and two great grandchildren, Megan and Peyton Cheleotis. Gene was predeceased by his brother, Robert Keller. The family will receive friends Monday, August 11th, 12:45-1:45PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 2:00PM, officiated by Reverend Jason Lee. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
