James George Reepe

Spartanburg, SC- James G. Reepe, 73, husband of Susan Mayse Reepe, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Born and raised in Forest City, NC, Jim was the son of the late George and Frances Baynard Reepe. He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and attended Brevard College. Jim honorably served his country in the US Army Reserves for six years. He was the owner and operator of Jim Reepe Auto Sales, and a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughters, Lesley Foster (John) of Spartanburg, SC, and Lauren Reepe of Forest City, NC; his sister, Jackie Watkins (Terry) of Forest City, NC; and his grandchildren, Taylor and Corey Sizemore, James and Jackie Foster, all of Spartanburg, SC, Erin Dudley (Tyler) and Alison Foster, both of Charleston, SC. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Spartanburg Regional Hospice. The family will receive friends in the Parlor of the First United Methodist Church, Forest City, NC, Saturday, August 30th, 10:00-11:00AM. The celebration of Jim’s life will immediately follow the visitation in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Neil Haynes.
